4/24/08 1:47 p.m. Verdis E. Harden, 34, was arrested on a charge of possession of a forged instrument after trying to cash a stolen check at a bank. He was taken to Clackamas County Jail.

4/25/08 11:34 a.m. Kathryn Carol Katanic, 45, was cited and released on a charge of theft.

4/28/08 12:32 a.m. Karen J. Boyd, 42, was arrested for failing to appear on charges of failing to perform the duties of a driver. She was taken to the Multnomah County Jail.

4/24/08 4:30 a.m. Medication was taken from a pharmacy on McVey Avenue during an overnight burglary.

4/27/08 8:58 p.m. A residence on Lakeview Boulevard was invaded while unlocked. Items were taken by a known suspect.

4/22/08 10:09 p.m. A 49-year-old driver was cited and released on suspicion of DUII after a crash on Botticelli. He was also cited on charges of criminal mischief and for failing to perform the duties of a driver.

4/26/08 2:35 a.m. Adam Scott Friedman, 27, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Boones Ferry Road. He was taken to Clackamas County Jail.

4/21/08 4:53 p.m. No one was hurt in a two-car crash that blocked traffic at Brookside and Twin Fir roads.

4/23/08 5:58 p.m. There were no injuries in a three-car collision on Holy Names Drive.

4/24/08 6:53 a.m. The driver in a one-car wreck on Country Club Road was uninjured.

4/24/08 7:05 p.m. A driver hit the back of a pizza joint on Bangy Road, also damaging landscaping at a nearby hotel. No one was hurt.

4/26/08 8:13 a.m. No one was injured in a two-car crash on Bryant Road at Sunset Drive.

4/26/08 3:52 p.m. There were no injuries in a three-car collision at A Avenue and State Street.

4/21/08 11:33 a.m. A Dumpster on Pilkington Road was preyed upon by an unauthorized dumpster.

4/21/08 1:15 p.m. Mail was stolen from the Troon Road area. The culprit attempted to cash checks.

4/23/08 1:17 p.m. A man who left his Visa card at a Capitol Highway eatery called police to report it had been used.

4/23/08 2:47 p.m. A laptop was reported missing on Ridgewood Road.

4/24/08 8:00 a.m. Items were stolen from a car at George Rogers Park. The culprit was arrested after leading West Linn Police on a chase. (See related story this page).

4/24/08 9:57 a.m. A person of questionable intellect stole several unactivated gift cards from a business on Boones Ferry Road.

4/24/08 10:29 a.m. Keys and money were taken from an A Avenue business. Lottery machines were tampered with.

4/25/08 7:28 a.m. A laptop was taken from a car on Meadows Road.

4/25/08 7:28 a.m. Another laptop was stolen from a different car on Meadows Road.

4/25/08 2:00 p.m. A handgun valued at $1,200 was reported taken from a residence on Foothills Drive.

4/25/08 4:02 p.m. A man who stole eight cases of beer from a store made his escape on Pilkington Road in a Gray Toyota.

4/26/08 10:30 a.m. A woman grabbed $8 from a tip jar at a business on Mercantile Drive.

4/26/08 3:22 p.m. Three boxes of Christmas lights and a bike were taken from the side of the road on Lakeview Boulevard. They were not supposed to be free.

4/27/08 12:46 a.m. A woman who took a cab to Kruse Oaks Drive had no money to pay the driver.

4/27/08 1:31 p.m. About 150 CDs and a Blackberry were taken from a car on Cloverleaf Road.

4/27/08 3:35 p.m. A wallet was taken from an unlocked car on Ridge Lake Drive, credit cards inside were used.

4/21/08 8:39 a.m. Partiers on Mayors Lane warned police of their impending revelry.

4/21/08 8:57 a.m. A black lab was seen frolicking in the Hemlock Street traffic with a golden retriever.

4/21/08 9:53 a.m. Skaters were making the most of the smooth concrete in the State Street parking garage.

4/21/08 10:43 a.m. A school official called police to discuss the strategic placement of a traffic cone at a school on Jean Road.

4/21/08 11:29 a.m. A woman was sifting through the recycling bins on Orchard Way.

4/21/08 11:36 a.m. Police refereed a neighborhood dispute on Fifth Street.

4/21/08 3:41 p.m. One neighbor pushed over another's azalea bush, also on Fifth Street.

4/21/08 7:09 p.m. A driver was seen weaving and erratically braking on First Street.

4/22/08 9:28 a.m. Large boulders were abandoned by city workers on Tenth Street.

4/22/08 1:06 p.m. A deceased squirrel was reported in the roadway on Inverurie Avenue.

4/22/08 3:01 p.m. Raccoons were believed to be squatting in a vacant residence. The lawn had gone to seed and the grass grew up tall.

4/22/08 3:33 p.m. A large piece of carpet was lying in the road on Tenth Street, about two blocks from the boulders.

4/22/08 10:26 p.m. Loud machinery on Indian Creek Drive was raising hackles late in the evening.

4/22/08 10:59 a.m. A tree limb fell on a car on Mt. Jefferson Terrace. No one was hurt.

4/23/08 11:09 a.m. A driver who spotted four men waving at traffic on Brookhurst Drive called police to report their distress. They turned out to be workers from the state Department of Transportation.

4/23/08 11:45 a.m. An unidentified squatter was ousted from an apartment complex on Kingsgate Avenue after calling attention to himself by yelling.

4/23/08 1:31 p.m. An elderly gentlemen who had misplaced his car really was not supposed to be driving it, police found. They gave the car to someone else after locating it on Mercantile Drive.

4/23/08 5:37 p.m. A deceased bird was spotted on Glen Haven Road.

4/23/08 7:04 p.m. Police who investigated a break-in at a vacant house found only a pot pipe and a Nintendo game left behind.

4/23/08 7:19 p.m. A man accused of looking into mailboxes on McVey Avenue claimed to be out for a walk and admiring real estate.

4/23/08 7:34 a.m. A dispute between a divorcing couple led to a ripped shirt.
