Hazel L. Harmon

Estacada resident Hazel L. Harmon died at her home Monday, April 7. She was 90.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Clackamas Valley Baptist Church, 29275 S.E. Eagle Creek Road, Estacada.

Burial has occurred at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Hazel L. Gredvig was born July 24, 1917, in Estelline, S.D., to Oliver and Gertrude (Metier) Gredvig. At an early age, Hazel moved with her family to central South Dakota, where they resided until moving to Oregon in 1934, settling in Estacada. She finished her schooling there and graduated from Estacada High School. In 1937, she married Robert G. Harmon.

Hazel was a homemaker. Her husband preceded her in death in 1966. She was a member of Barton Community Baptist Church for many years. Later she attended Clackamas Valley Baptist Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary at Sandy. Hazel enjoyed her family and life.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas R. Harmon of Estacada and Carl G. Harmon of Canby; daughter, Corinne 'Chris' Harmon of Seattle; sister, Dorothy Ponci of Orland, Calif.; grandsons, William Andrew Press of Seattle and Daniel Glenn Harmon of Portland; granddaughter, Jill Marie Harmon of Portland; and her loving friend, Jack Kellendonk of Estacada and most recently of Portland.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Adventist Hospice and the staff at Grace House.
