5/05/08 2:46 p.m. A 16-year-old was charged with criminal trespass and released to a parent.
5/6/08 8:11 p.m. A juvenile was cited for criminal mischief.
5/8/08 6:40 p.m. Brian Joseph Orr, 45, was cited and released on suspicion of theft.
5/9/08 2:15 p.m. Jennifer Lorraine Selby, 30, was arrested for a probation violation charge and taken to Clackamas County Jail.
5/9/08 6:06 p.m. Devin Clayton Dassing, 18, was cited and released on sus- picion of possession of controlled substances.
There were no burglaries reported in Lake Oswego this week.
5/11/08 1:14 a.m. John C. Watkins, 23, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Briarwood Road and lodged at Clackamas County Jail.
5/11/08 10:43 a.m. No one was hurt when two cars collided at Tenth Street and B Avenue.
5/5/08 11:44 a.m. Construction equipment was stolen from Terrace Drive.
5/5/08 12:06 p.m. A concrete drill and drill bits worth $1,100 were also taken from Terrace Drive.
5/5/08 3:42 p.m. A bicycle thief was spotted on Evergreen Road but turned out to be the owner of the bike.
5/6/08 11:27 a.m. A car stolen from Tigard was found on Davis Lane.
5/6/08 1:31 p.m. An ashtray, GPS system and telephone cord were stolen from a parked car on A Avenue.
5/6/08 2:24 p.m. A computer was taken from an address on State Street.
5/6/08 7:18 p.m. A mahogany case containing $4,000 worth of sterling silverware was stolen from a home on Canyon Drive.
5/7/08 11:42 a.m. Bark dust was stolen from an alley off Morningview Lane.
5/7/08 5:48 p.m. Gas was siphoned from a car on Cedar Street.
5/9/08 7:56 a.m. Cash was taken from a bookkeeper's cash drawer at a business on Overlook Drive.
5/9/08 9:03 a.m. Groceries were purchased with a stolen credit card on Monroe Parkway.
5/10/08 10:43 a.m. A car reported stolen from First Street was found inside the parking garage there, where its owner left it.
5/5/08 9:26 a.m. High school students were disregarding the traffic light on Country Club Road, walking in front of cars and waving the one-finger salute.
5/5/08 9:46 a.m. A woman drove up to a house on Oak Street and made accusations that its occupant was stalking her. The man said he'd never seen her before, or her car or the bulldog riding in its passenger seat.
5/5/08 2:19 p.m. A broken tree limb blocked the sidewalk on Fifth Street.
5/5/08 5:43 p.m. A dog with a swollen leg appeared neglected on Bernini Court but was really suffering from cancer, not abuse.
5/5/08 6:46 p.m. A 14-year-old boy ran away from home.
5/6/08 12:39 a.m. A suicide attempt was reported.
5/6/08 7:57 a.m. An assault was reported on Melrose Street.
5/6/08 10:28 a.m. A woman who was holding her head and looking confused on McVey Avenue told police she was waiting for the mail.
5/6/08 4:49 p.m. A Third Street resident became marooned in the house while a wandering pitbull circled outside.
5/6/08 8:36 p.m. An elderly woman was walking in traffic on Pacific Highway.
5/7/08 12:26 a.m. A flock of starlings - yes, birds - invaded the bedroom of a home on Brookhurst Drive. Police shooed approximately 50 winged raiders from the abode.
5/7/08 7:37 a.m. The railroad gates were at half-mast on Boones Ferry Road.
5/7/08 11:52 a.m. A private investigator was suspected of pretending to be a police officer while on the tail of a target.
5/7/08 12:23 p.m. Two people on a public path near Third Street were suspected of doing drugs.
5/7/08 2:35 p.m. A man seen sitting in his car on State Street was not up to no good, as suspected, but instead was an employee of the Goodwill store. He was taking a lunch break.
5/7/08 4:45 p.m. Death threats were made locally.
5/7/08 5:48 p.m. Ducklings were loitering near a swimming pool on Overlook Circle, some splashing in its waters.
5/7/08 5:55 p.m. A man seen spreading fertilizer on Willow Lane was suspected of previously damaging property there.
5/7/08 9:03 p.m. A bag of meth was found in a car.
5/7/08 9:38 p.m. A man dialed 9-1-1 to report he was locked inside the public storage facility on State Street. Police aided his escape but his car was less lucky and had to spend the night.
5/7/08 11:02 p.m. A drunken man punched out a few cars in a parking lot on Oswego Pointe Drive.
5/8/08 9:59 a.m. An elderly man in a red sweater was slowly walking down the railroad tracks near State Street.
5/8/08 11:22 a.m. A disgruntled boyfriend was pounding on a door on Cervantes.
5/8/08 12:23 p.m. A drunken person was making a scene in a hardware store on State Street.
5/8/08 1:47 p.m. Frankie the Dachshund went missing on Upper Drive.
5/8/08 2:45 p.m. Ducks were trying to cross the road on Country Club.
5/8/08 3:01 p.m. More ducks were trying to cross the road on B Avenue.
5/9/08 6:04 a.m. A man wandering in the middle of Jean Road appeared disoriented.

5/9/08 10:39 a.m. Cars parked for an estate sale on South Shore Boulevard were causing problems.
5/9/08 1:58 p.m. A woman at Freepons Park was accused of allowing her dogs to run off leash.
5/9/08 4:15 p.m. Police discovered a yard overgrown with weeds on Third Street.
5/9/08 4:40 p.m. A reported robbery turned out to be a rumble amongst a group of teens. One lost an iPod in the shuffle.
5/9/08 7:40 p.m. A wandering coyote was not afraid of the people on Sixth Street.
5/9/08 12:08 a.m. Two men were seen talking to little girls through an open window on Amberwood Circle.
5/10/08 2:09 a.m. A man threatened to beat a woman with whom he'd argued. Police were poised to discourage him.
5/10/08 3:35 a.m. Loud people on Greenridge Drive sounded like they'd been drinking.
5/10/08 8:21 a.m. A car was left running with the keys inside it on B Avenue.
5/10/08 11:03 a.m. A policeman found an unattended five-year-old on B Avenue. The boy had strayed from his pack during the Lake Run.
5/10/08 4:20 p.m. A suicide threat was reported.
5/10/08 11:45 p.m. A man was standing in the center of a highway median on I-5, though no one was sure why.
5/11/08 7:19 a.m. A duckling fell through a sewer grate on Blue Heron Way. It was rescued and returned to its mother.
5/11/08 12:38 a.m. The boat-like play-structure at West Waluga Park was spraypainted. Children who use it can now better visualize an excursion on the Charles River.
5/11/08 12:58 a.m. Two skateboarders were spotted in the no-skating area on Greentree Road.
5/5/08 8:16 p.m. A man posing as a Treasury Department employee asked for a local person's credit card number.
5/6/08 1:54 p.m. A city credit card was compromised.
5/7/08 8:37 a.m. A person who bought a Macbook for $1,140 was suspected of doing so with someone else's money.
5/7/08 12:07 p.m. Fraudulent use of a debit card was reported at business on Monroe Parkway.
