Long-time Lake Oswego resident Carl E. Buddeau died May 9, 2008, of natural causes. He was 71.
Mr. Buddeau was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Portland to Carl J. and Rosella (Burton) Buddeau. He grew up in the Portland metropolitan area, living in Hillsboro and Lake Oswego. He graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 1955.
Prior to his high school graduation, Mr. Buddeau enlisted in the Oregon Air National Guard and spent his career in service to his country. He was a graduate of the Advanced Non Commission Officers Academy and active in the Air Force 'William Tell' Competition. He retired as a crew chief and master sergeant.
Mr. Buddeau married Joann Newland of Oregon City and the couple had a daughter, Julie. The marriage ended in divorce.
Mr. Buddeau married Janet 'Jan' Hubbard of Oregon City in 1961. They have lived in the Lake Oswego area ever since.
Mr. Buddeau enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, barbecuing and playing computer games.
Survivors include his wife Jan, daughter Julie A. (Buddeau) Link of Troutdale, son Randal A. Wirth of Spokane and four grandchildren.
A service will be held at a later date this summer.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
