Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:
7/1/08 10:20 a.m. Brian Joseph Orr, 44, was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear on a theft charge. He was lodged at a Multnomah County jail. Bail was set at $7,500.
7/2/08 8:44 a.m. Ididro Alvarez-Lopez, 32, was lodged at Clackamas County Jail on a warrant. Bail was set at $10,000.
7/2/08 12:50 p.m. Charles J. Seaman, 30, was lodged at Clackamas County Jail on unspecified charges.
7/2/08 2:18 p.m. Brent Evan Webser, 44, was the subject of a warrant service and was lodged at Multnomah County Jail.
7/2/08 11:39 p.m. Son Minh Le, 31, was lodged at a Multnomah County jail on suspicion of failure to carry and present a driver's license. Bail was set at $7,500.
7/4/08 10:27 a.m. Andy T., 40, was arrested on suspicion of harassment and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.
7/5/08 3:51 p.m. A juvenile girl was arrested for harassment and assault and referred to a juvenile court.
7/6/08 1:55 a.m. Malcomb Rabe, 30, was cited and released for driving while suspended.
7/6/08 9:18 p.m. Stan Love, 58, was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear on charges of DUII and driving while suspended. He was taken to the Clackamas County Jail.
6/30/08 4:42 p.m. A house was broken into but nothing was taken. However, the woman reporting the incident suspected she was a victim of identity theft and will bring in documents for officers to follow up the case.
7/3/08 8:41 a.m. Three plasma TVs, two CPUs and other items were stolen in a commercial burglary on Centerpointe Drive. They were valued at $5,500.
7/4/08 9:27 p.m. A homeowner on Knaus Road interrupted a burglary and saw someone in a black ski mask with a black backpack run out of their yard.
7/1/08 2:11 p.m. A bicyclist was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.
7/1/08 2:13 p.m. A friend admitted backing into a friend's car bumper and causing minor damage.
7/4/08 4:54 p.m. No one was hurt in a two-car crash at Brookhurst Drive and Highway 43.
7/5/08 3:15 p.m. A 12-year-old boy was injured when he fell off his bike on Overlook Drive.
7/3/08 3:44 a.m. Nicholas F. Blasingame, 27, was lodged at Clackamas County Jail on suspicion of DUII.
7/3/08 10:22 p.m. Ahmad Ayaz, 29, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Boones Ferry Road and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.
7/7/08 1:04 a.m. Kenny M. Johnstom, 17, was arrested on charges of DUII, criminal mischief, reckless endangering, hit and run and property damage after an apparent crash near Orchard Way. He was taken to the Clackamas County Juvenile Resource Center.
7/1/08 4:13 p.m. Dehumidifiers and air movers were reported stolen.
7/1/08 5:45 p.m. A woman charged that an ex-boyfriend stole a large amount of money. The incident occurred in Seattle.
7/2/08 11:29 a.m. A woman's personal information was used in order to steal some natural gas.
7/2/08 1:39 p.m. A 'Slow Children Playing' sign was taken on C Avenue.
7/3/08 9:17 a.m. An inflatable water trampoline was taken from a dock off Edgecliff Terrace.
7/5/08 4:37 p.m. Someone in a silver Chevy was dumping garbage in the Lakeridge High Dumpster, thereby stealing services.
7/5/08 10:54 p.m. Mail was stolen on Glen Haven Road.
7/1/08 7:21 a.m. A framer who was hired, then fired keeps returning to the scene where he is no longer wanted.
7/1/08 8:48 a.m. An argument between a man and a woman was observed on Terwilliger Boulevard.
7/1/08 9:05 a.m. An ex-boyfriend ripped the car keys out of his ex-girlfriend's hand, then sped off in a black Hondo Civic.
7/1/08 10:22 a.m. A stolen wallet was returned to a man, but the credit cards were gone.
7/1/02 10:41 a.m. Tires were slashed on a vehicle on Oswego Summit.
7/1/08 11:20 a.m. Overgrown weeds at a vacant house were reportedly tall enough to cause a traffic hazard.
7/1/08 12:44 p.m. A man carrying a fishing pole reportedly tried to pick the lock on a boathouse.
7/1/08 1:49 p.m. An unknown person made harassing calls, claiming he was owed money and attempting to obtain personal information.
7/1/08 2:01 p.m. A dead crow was disposed of on Fifth Street.
7/1/08 2:36 p.m. Concerns were expressed about a neighbor feeding a raccoon.
7/1/08 6:24 p.m. A black mixed dog named Molly will be kept until the owner calls and gets it. The reporting person can keep Molly no longer. The dog's vaccination tag had a phone number on it, but no one answered the number.
7/1/08 6:37 p.m. A man was seen sitting near a power pole at Uplands School for two hours. He was said to be whistling at girls who passed by.
7/1/08 6:50 p.m. A tenant threatened a person with bodily harm over the sale of a television.
7/1/08 8:09 p.m. A man yelled at a woman about her dog and made threats.
7/1/08 10:22 p.m. An unwanted boyfriend has been living at a residence. The man agreed to go to bed.
7/2/08 1:25 p.m. A man said to be looking for photographic opportunities was reportedly walking down a street and making gestures. He had a flashlight and binoculars.
7/1/08 4:28 a.m. A man and a woman having a verbal argument were warned about making unnecessary noise.
7/2/08 7:46 a.m. An injured pitbull mix dog was seen walking along South Shore Boulevard.
7/2/08 9:46 a.m. Public defecation was reported outside of a trailer located near a motel. An investigation found that the defacator was apparently a dog. Extra patrols were requested.
7/2/08 11 a.m. Two dogs newly arrived from Hawaii escaped when a child opened a door to a home. The dogs were taken into custody and then returned to their owner.
7/3/08 11:07 a.m. A suspected burglary on North Shore Place turned out to be workers from a pool service who had come around for a cleaning.
7/2/08 11:40 a.m. A dog on Greentree Road has apparently been left alone and has been barking, howling and whining since June 30. Neighbors and police officers have been unable to contact the dog's owner.
7/2/08 2:04 p.m. Nathan Michael Quiring, 25, registered as a sex offender.
7/2/08 3:30 p.m. Jon Paul Trueb, 44, registered as a sex offender.
7/2/08 4:40 p.m. A missing black cat was found. The cat had a collar with a phone number listed.
7/2/08 7:32 p.m. Three teens near a picnic shelter were seen smoking cigarettes around other children.
7/2/08 8:52 p.m. A man was reported to have picked up a mattress with an 11-year-old child on it and tossed it in the air. The child was not injured.
7/2/08 11:03 p.m. Juveniles were seen throwing rocks and balloons at passing cars on Bryant Road.
7/3/08 6:49 a.m. A window was broken at Bryant Elementary School.
7/3/08 11:31 a.m. A local woman called police, upset about some missing silverware.
7/3/08 1:54 p.m. A catheter bag was found in the road on Kerr Parkway.
7/3/08 2:22 p.m. A car was pulling a kid on a bike down Boones Ferry Road.
7/3/08 2:35 p.m. The driver of a Toyota four-runner brandished a knife, then flashed it at other drivers on Highway 43.
7/3/08 2:59 p.m. A mysterious glove spotted by a house-sitter on Glacier Lily Drive belonged to a police officer who had checked on the residence earlier in the day.
7/3/08 4:30 p.m. Three fawns were running in traffic on Bryant Road.
7/3/08 7:01 p.m. A homeowner in an undisclosed location complained a neighbor had a gun in a window and it was pointed at the caller's deck.
7/3/08 8:22 p.m. A teenager took a car without permission.
7/3/08 10:25 p.m. A small coyote was running down Bryant Road.
7/3/08 10:29 p.m. A suspicious- looking youngster was seated near a bank of mailboxes on Carman Drive, working on a laptop. As it turned out, he lived in the area and was playing some kind of computer game.
7/3/08 10:44 p.m. A man was harassing the employees of a firework stand on Boones Ferry Road.
7/4/08 12:07 p.m. A teen in a black Jeep Cherokee screamed at a woman over a parking spot on Sixth Street, then threatened to run over her children.
7/4/08 12:22 p.m. A missing six year old was quickly located on First Street.
7/4/08 8:42 p.m. A coyote was wandering on Westview Drive.
7/4/08 9:40 p.m. An unknown car parked in a yard on Sunset Drive, crushing the homeowner's flowers.
7/4/08 11:57 p.m. Teens at Oak Creek Elementary school, including one crying one, were not having a medical problem, as reported. Instead they were gathered around upset because one of them was going out of the country.
7/5/08 2:31 p.m. A 9-1-1 call from a pay phone on A Avenue turned out to be from a person who took the wrong bus, got lost and had no money. Police gave the caller a ride home.
7/5/08 4:27 p.m. A driver ran a stop sign on Harvey Way, then flipped off another driver who drove by.
7/5/08 7:32 p.m. An apparent explosion and related burnt trees raised concerns for a landlord on Deerbrush Avenue.
7/5/08 10:42 p.m. A possible domestic disturbance on Meridian Court turned out to be a boy playing guitar.
7/6/08 3:44 a.m. A man lying face down on Centerwood Street turned out to be drunk. He was taken to a detox facility.
7/6/08 10:28 a.m. An overly aggressive cat was accused of injuring its feline neighbor and then attempting assault on its owner.
7/6/08 11:41 a.m. An 'adult male black lab wearing a blue collar with rhinestone diamond studs' was found by a homeowner on Ellis (not Elvis) Avenue.
7/6/08 5:08 p.m. A tree fell on a porch on Eaglecrest Drive.
7/6/08 5:41 p.m. A white Chevy Malibu driven by a man was running stop signs and nearly hit several pedestrians.
7/6/08 7:11 p.m. Three men fishing under the bridge on South Shore Boulevard were encouraged to move along.
7/6/08 10:08 p.m. Three teens tried to climb onto the roof at Wizer's.
7/6/08 10:32 p.m. Reports of an explosive device caused police from all areas to converge on Atwater Road. An investigation is pending.
7/7/08 12:34 a.m. One kid on a bike was pulling another on a skateboard while he put firecrackers in mailboxes on Albert Circle.
6/23/08 2:20 p.m. A customer at a local business was writing bad checks.
6/23/08 2:37 p.m. A possible fraud was reported.
6/23/08 5:34 p.m. Identity theft was reported.
