Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

7/11/08 8:16 a.m. Michael Dee Lyski, 25, was cited and released on suspicion of driving while suspended.

7/11/08 9:03 a.m. Nicholas Anthony Daly, 23, was cited and released on suspicion of unlawful hitchhiking and possession of a controlled substance.

7/11/08 5:20 p.m. Two 14 year olds were taken to the Clackamas County Juvenile Resource Center for reckless burning.

7/12/08 6:51 a.m. Mohammad M. Alamezi, 23, was arrested on suspicion of menacing, disorderly conduct, pointing a firearm at another person, harassment and theft of services. He was taken to the Clackamas County Jail.

7/13/08 12:20 a.m. Ania M. Moldzynska, 40, was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on suspicion of interfering with the making of a police report and harassment.

7/13/08 12:47 a.m. Lacey M. Carlson, 19, was cited on suspicion of furnishing alcohol to minors.

7/8/08 2:40 a.m. A burglary attempt was reported on Lakeview Boulevard, where someone tried to pry the screen from the window of a home.

7/10/08 6:59 p.m. A burglary was reported on Jefferson Parkway. Nothing was reported stolen but several items had been used and/or rearranged.

7/8/08 11:16 p.m. Daniel T. Scroggin, 44, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Boones Ferry Road. He was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail.

7/7/08 10:44 a.m. A city employee accidentally backed into a parked car on Melrose Street. No one was hurt.

7/7/08 11:01 a.m. No one was hurt when two cars collided on Kruse Way near the I-5 interchange.

7/7/08 8:08 p.m. There did not appear to be injuries when a bicyclist banged on the hood of a car after a close call on McVey Avenue, damaging the car.

7/9/08 1:53 a.m. There were no injuries when a car crashed into the curb on Country Club Road.

7/9/08 7:37 a.m. No one was hurt when two cars collided at Allen and South Shore roads.

7/9/08 7:47 a.m. There were no injuries when two cars collided at Burham Road and Highway 43.

7/9/08 9:08 a.m. Injuries were reported in a two-car crash at Boones Ferry Road and Lanewood Street.

7/9/08 2:21 p.m. No one was hurt in a three-car crash at State Street and Terwilliger Boulevard.

7/10/08 8:58 a.m. There were no injuries in a crash at Boones Ferry and McEwan roads.

7/10/08 1:40 p.m. No one was hurt when two cars collided at Greentree Circle and Greentree Road.

7/10/08 8:16 p.m. A bicyclist reported a hit and run on Greentree Road.

7/13/08 2:23 p.m. Injuries were unknown when a car hit the median on State Street.

7/7/08 2:47 p.m. Pills were taken from the pocket of a local party-goer.

7/8/08 6:10 p.m. A red Honda Accord was reported stolen from Jefferson Parkway. It was later recovered in Portland.

7/9/08 7:37 a.m. Theft was reported. No details were provided.

7/9/08 10:49 a.m. Someone stole the operator's manual from a car on Sunset Road, along with a few other papers.

7/9/08 12:41 p.m. A stereo and dealer places were stolen from a Gold Range Rover, also stolen. The car itself was located in Portland after being reported missing from Albert Circle.

7/9/08 2:57 p.m. Two electric scooters were taken from a house on Lakeview Boulevard.

7/10/08 9:31 a.m. Checks were stolen from a residence on Maple Street.

7/10/08 3:50 p.m. Theft of an iPod was reported on Chapman Way but its owner quickly found it.

7/13/08 5:57 a.m. A briefcase was stolen from a car on Jefferson Terrace. The car's window was smashed.

7/13/08 7:41 a.m. CDs were stolen from another car on Mt. Jefferson Terrace overnight.

7/13/08 7:58 a.m. On Jefferson Parkway, the window of another car was smashed overnight but nothing was taken.

7/13/08 1:32 p.m. A GPS was taken from a car on Mt. Jefferson Terrace and the window was smashed.

7/13/08 5:19 p.m. An iPod nano and sunglasses were stolen from yet another vehicle on Jefferson Parkway. A window had also been smashed.

7/7/08 12:04 p.m. A driver was tailgating on Bryant Road.

7/7/08 12:20 p.m. A beagle with a red harness was dragging a clothesline down Wembley Park Road.

7/7/08 1:53 p.m. Eight kids were jumping off the dolphins at Roehr Park and swimming in the Willamette River.

7/7/08 2:35 p.m. A brown dog chased and killed a small fawn on Highway 43.

7/7/08 3:47 p.m. A garage band was playing loud music on Greentree Road.

7/7/08 4:01 p.m. A jogger on Rainbow Road was repeatedly dialing 9-1-1 from a cell phone, which was bouncing in the pocket of their sportswear.

7/7/08 4:19 p.m. The garage band started up again on Greentree Road.

7/7/08 8:31 p.m. A vacationer returned home to find garbage strewn about his Lanewood Street lawn.

7/7/08 9:03 p.m. Kids took an uninvited swim in a private pool, then scattered when the homeowner returned. One was caught and held down for police on Woodside Circle.

7/7/08 10:43 p.m. Screaming juveniles on skateboards were reported on Bryant Road, where one homeowner apparently jumped into a car to try to scare them.

7/8/08 8:33 a.m. A mailbox on Lamont Way fell victim to vandals overnight.

7/8/08 12:39 p.m. Suspicious-looking women were wearing orange vests and walking between houses on Vermeer Drive. Turned out they worked for the gas company.

7/8/08 1:00 p.m. Two off-leash dogs were taking bread from duck-feeding children on State Street.

7/8/08 3:29 p.m. Police received an anonymous letter complaining of cars parked on Jefferson Parkway.

7/8/08 4:46 p.m. Eight juveniles were trespassing on private property on Cabana Lane.

7/8/08 5:13 p.m. A yellow fluffy dog was chronically jumping into its neighbor's yard on Conifer Drive.

7/8/08 6:18 p.m. Two unattended dogs were barking in a car outside the Healthy Pet on Boones Ferry Road.

7/8/08 8:52 p.m. A homeless person got mouthy after being refused a beverage at a convenience store on Lakeview Boulevard.

7/8/08 9:36 p.m. Children on Eaglecrest drive were told by police to do what their mother says.

7/9/08 4:14 a.m. A newspaper delivery person was harassed while delivering newspapers on Lake Grove Avenue.

7/9/08 9:27 a.m. A woman who was harassed over taking a disabled parking space on Monroe Parkway was, in fact, disabled.

7/9/08 10:30 a.m. A small dog was darting in and out of traffic on Maple Circle.

7/9/08 12;09 p.m. 'Peaches,' a gold Chihuahua with white spots, jumped from a car on Highway 43 and was lost.

7/9/08 12:13 p.m. A Third Street landlord asked for police help in evicting tenants with a dangerous dog.

7/9/08 3:10 p.m. Teens talking about sex on Hemlock Street were possibly making two girls in the group uncomfortable.

7/9/08 4:43 p.m. A solicitor was verbally abusive toward a homeowner on Cherry Crest Drive after the man declined to buy a magazine subscription.

7/9/08 4:53 p.m. A woman lying on a sidewalk on Pacific Highway was not injured, just lying on the sidewalk.

7/9/08 6:39 p.m. Kids were jumping off the train trestle between Lake Oswego and Milwaukie, landing in the Willamette River.

7/9/08 7:11 p.m. Kids were smoking and drinking beer in a pool on Greenridge Court.

7/9/08 8:39 p.m. A driver threw a roll of duct tape at a cyclist on Bryant Road, breaking the man's glasses and cutting his face.

7/9/08 11:58 p.m. Three kids pointed what looked like a gun at a man as he stood in his driveway on Berwick Road.

7/10/08 12:58 a.m. Police attended to an elderly man who had fallen and could not get up.

7/10/08 1:21 a.m. Drunken people were yelling on Churchill Downs.

7/10/08 1:47 a.m. Dogs or raccoons were suspected in the tipping of numerous garbage cans on Overlook Drive.

7/10/08 9:43 a.m. Overgrown weeds were reported in a yard on Avery Lane.

7/10/08 10:30 a.m. Dumpster divers were spotted on Overlook Drive.

7/10/08 11:39 a.m. A female 'slumper' in a car on Laurel Street turned out to be fine.

7/10/08 12:45 p.m. Harassment was reported.

7/10/08 2:52 p.m. Two teenage boys were accused of dumping trash on Berwick Road.

7/10/08 4:26 p.m. An argument broke out at a service station on Boones Ferry Road after a customer was stiffed seven cents in change.

7/10/08 5:42 p.m. A bucket, sponge, screwdriver, bits, power tool and other items fell out of a truck on South Shore Boulevard.

7/10/08 8:56 p.m. One neighbor accused another of tearing up a garden on Sixth Street.

7/10/08 11:09 p.m. People were throwing fruit at cars on Boones Ferry Road.

7/10/08 11:20 p.m. A suicide attempt was reported.

7/11/08 11:47 a.m. A man seen lying on a sidewalk on Vale Court turned out to be a landscaper taking a break.

7/11/08 1:33 p.m. A drunken person who refused to leave a Starbucks on Centerpointe Drive was instead taken to a detox facility.

7/11/08 2:43 p.m. A juvenile was warned not to ride his scooter into the path of other motorists on Sixth Street.

7/11/08 4:44 p.m. A landlord tried to force his way into an apartment.

7/11/08 6:22 p.m. Two holes were damaged at the Lake Oswego Country Club golf course.

7/11/08 7:00 p.m. An unknown person ran through a caller's yard on Lanewood Street.

7/11/08 7:05 p.m. Construction noise was reported after hours on Cumberland Road.

7/11/08 9:47 p.m. A man called police to say a gas station employee had given him grief about spitting on a pay phone but was arrested when police showed. Turns out he failed to show up in Marion County court on a forgery charge.

7/12/08 12:37 a.m. A local person was taken to a hospital after a suicide attempt.

7/12/08 2:14 a.m. Eggs were thrown at a car on Boones Ferry Road.

7/12/08 2:39 a.m. At least eight kids were busted for drinking at a party on North Shore Road.

7/12/08 2:23 p.m. A bomb threat left on the bathroom door of the Starbucks on State Street turned out to be bogus.

7/12/08 3:26 p.m. Three pairs of girls' underwear were found near the play structure on Hawthorne Drive.

7/12/08 4:00 p.m. One person yelled at another, 'Did you find it? Look again,' on State Street.

7/12/08 4:48 p.m. Reports of a brawl in a pool on Eaglecrest Drive turned out to be kids playing.

7/12/08 6:02 p.m. A brood of ducks trying to cross Brookhurst Drive was gone when police arrived, believed to have 'ducked' onto a side street.

7/12/08 10:00 p.m. A woman's friend jumped off a boat while holding her cell phone.

7/13/08 11:20 a.m. A sleeping person in a car on Waluga Drive was just taking a nap.

7/13/08 10:27 p.m. A man got into a car with a crying girl on Hill Way.

7/7/08 4:40 p.m. Fraud was reported in a Craigslist exchange.

7/7/08 6:12 p.m. A man reported potential fraud at a local business.

7/7/08 9:23 p.m. A second person reported potential fraud at the same business.

7/9/08 9:47 a.m. Identity theft resulted in a loan being made in a local man's name.

7/9/08 5:41 p.m. Fraud was again reported at a local business.

7/10/08 8:21 a.m. Unauthorized withdrawals to the tune of $3,600 were reported from a person's bank account.

7/11/08 3:27 p.m. A forged check was passed to a local business.

7/12/08 12:21 p.m. Fraudulent use of a credit card was reported.
