Suspect in Saturday shooting arrested

Police investigate North Portland shooting incident

A suspect in a Saturday morning shooting incident in Southeast Portland turned himself in to police Sunday.

Dallas Jered Galiger, 39, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangerment, possession of a loaded firearm, discharging of a firearm in a city, criminal mischief in the second degree, and disorderly conduct in the second degree.

According to police, at approximately 7:39 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1400 block of east Burnside. Officers learned there was a disturbance at an afterhours party that spilled out to the rear parking lot, which faces Southeast Ankeny Street, where gunshots were fired, some striking a motorcycle. No one was injured, however.

Police do not believe this incident is gang related.
