new sign at Neil Armstrong
Beautification project involves students, teacher and proprietors
The area around the entrance sign in front of Neil Armstrong Middle School in Forest Grove is more beautiful, thanks to the efforts of a bevy of benefactors.
Teacher Drennan Wesley and members of the Neil Armstrong leadership class spearheaded the project, which took place Saturday morning.
'We made the entrance sign to our school look better,' said Ana Aranda, an eighth-grade leadership student. 'The area around it was really dull, so we wanted to jazz it up a bit.'
Carol and Jim Bremer of Forest Grove's Classic Garden Creations, Inc., donated flowering plum trees, landscape design plans and some labor and planting instruction time. S and H Landscape Supply of Hillsboro donated soil and Farmington Gardens of Beaverton donated plants.
