When bees dropped in on the Farmer's Market, one beekeeper scored a hive
When a swarm of bees stopped by the Forest Grove Farmer's Market last Wednesday to look for a home, Rudy Marchesi, of Montinore Vineyards, decided to take advantage of the situation. Marchesi (top), who raises bees, had a spare hive in his truck parked nearby. He grabbed the hive box and put as many swarming bees as he could inside. The rest crawled their way toward the hive as his wife, Susan Fichter, coaxed them inside.
