Around 500 people attended the Lake Oswego School District's Alumni Bash's second year on one of the hottest nights of the year.

'We were really pleased at the turnout because it was almost 100 degrees,' said Mary Puskas, director of the Alumni Foundation. 'To say the least, it was a very hot evening.'

Some new people attended, while others were repeat attenders.

The event helped collect more contact information for the alumni newsletter and will hopefully help establish the group more firmly.

'We're hoping our next activity will be to put together an alumni board who will determine the direction and more of the activities that the alumni association will be involved with,' said Puskas.
