New youth sports requirements
The Lake Oswego Review wants to print your sports stories!
We encourage submissions about locals involved in all sports. Because the Review has a small news staff, we count on local readers to send us their sports news.
Our goal is to print some form of everything that is sent to us. If your team is not covered, it is because no one has sent us the information. If for some reason you send us a story and it does not print in the Review, please call us to make sure we received it.
The point of these stories is not to focus on who wins and who loses, but the focus on the accomplishments of the athletes. Even in a loss there is something positive about how a player played.
Here are the guidelines:
1. Submissions should be kept to 150 words. The basics of the story should be: team name, score, players who stood out, key play in the game.
Please do not name every player in your submission. Please list a few players and then cover the other players in following story submissions.
2. The deadline for story submissions each week is Monday at 5 p.m.
4. Photos: When space is available we are interested in running action photos of your teams sporting events. So, if there are any parents out there that are good with a camera, we would greatly appreciate their help.
It's best to e-mail the photos as well. Again, photos will be printed only when space dictates. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.
