BURGLARIES

5/17/11 8:02 a.m. A thief entered an unlocked classroom on Jean Road and stole a Dell laptop computer worth $500.

ACCIDENTS

5/21/11 10:48 a.m. A driver swerved to avoid hitting a TriMet bus and hit another car on A Avenue.

THEFT

5/17/11 9:54 p.m. A white 2003 Mercedes was taken from Portland during the late afternoon.

5/18/11 11:42 a.m. A vehicle stolen in Washington was left in an alley on Seventh Street and A Avenue.

5/19/11 10:43 a.m. A woman was robbed of her purse and driver's license while in Portland, and she is concerned the thief may have her address.

5/19/11 4:14 p.m. An iPhone valued at $790 was stolen from a deli on Bangy Road.

5/21/11 12:40 p.m. A stolen vehicle was recovered in Salem, and a suspect in the theft was taken to a hospital.

MISC

5/17/11 9:35 a.m. A 67-year-old woman who suffers from dementia was found at her former home.

5/17/11 10:02 a.m. A woman became infuriated when she found that her hair had been turned purple at a salon. When she went back to complain she was kicked out.

5/17/11 2:34 p.m. A daughter of a homeowner feels she is being harassed and cyber stalked.

5/17/11 4:12 p.m. A woman's 13-year-old son was attacked by another student at Lake Oswego Junior High.

5/17/11 6:27 p.m. An Australian shepherd known for biting people has eluded efforts at capture.

5/17/11 9:06 p.m. A live trap set up on Ridgeway Road was wrecked by somebody who came over from Bay Roc Condos and let out a nutria (semi-aquatic rodent) and threw the trap across the lawn.

5/17/11 10:32 p.m. A drunken brother loaned his sister's Toyota Corolla to a 20-year-old male to go buy him some marijuana. This excursion cost the errand runner a night in Clackamas County Jail for unlawful delivery of marijuana.

5/18/11 9:19 a.m. A restraining order for elder abuse has been filed against a neighbor.

5/18/11 10:14 a.m. Drivers are constantly failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians on Bryant and Jean roads.

5/18/11 2:31 p.m. A church was subjected to a stream of 14 calls from a subject wanting help, money and food. However, the requests are now escalating to passive/aggressive behavior.

5/18/11 3:29 p.m. A woman is seeking help for her drug addicted sister.

5/18/11 3:47 p.m. A man has been sleeping under a blue blanket in a park on Pilkington Road.

5/18/11 4:42 p.m. A man in front of a tanning salon keeps asking customers for a ride to a liquor store.

5/18/11 5:30 p.m. Two teenage boys loitering at Our Lady of the Lake were found to have thrown traffic cones up into trees and have written on the parking lot.

5/18/11 9:24 p.m. A man creeping in a recycling area was advised to leave. However, the manager is concerned he will come back.

5/19/11 7:25 a.m. A female driver was tailgating and cutting off other vehicles in a harrowing journey down Boones Ferry Road.

5/19/11 8:35 a.m. A woman told an officer she becomes upset every time she walks by her neighbor's house because her dog was attacked by the neighbor's dog several years ago. The officer advised her to not go by the house.

5/19/11 11:14 a.m. A 30-year-old daughter is missing after she stormed out of the house. She has a history of meth use and has no auto insurance because her license has been suspended.

5/19/11 9:30 p.m. An acquaintance of a renter is refusing to leave an apartment on Greenridge Drive.

5/20/11 7:46 a.m. A restroom Rip Van Winkle was discovered at Roehr Park overnight.

5/20/11 10:45 a.m. A city employee has been receiving harassing telephone calls.

5/20/11 11:09 a.m. A heartbroken woman never made it to her new job in Tigard because she still is so distraught over the death of her sister three months ago. She was reported to be crying inside of her car in a parking lot.

5/20/11 11:56 a.m. Three aimless, disheveled males were thought to be up to no good as they meandered down Edenberry Drive.

5/20/11 12:27 p.m. A heroin-addicted son threatened to kill himself with a knife before being transported to OHSU.

5/20/11 1:45 p.m. A 13-year-old student with behavioral and emotional issues threatened to commit suicide and walked out of school.

5/20/11 3:12 p.m. Four tawdry teens spewed obscenities as they skateboarded down Foothills Road.

5/20/11 3:25 p.m. A scary-looking male was seen watching a young girl on a bike.

5/20/11 3:54 p.m. Three kids were still fishing from the bridge on North Shore Circle even after being ordered to desist by police.

5/20/11 5:37 p.m. A lookout kept watch while some young male teens toked up on marijuana in a church parking lot.

5/20/11 10:33 p.m. A coyote with an injured leg was hippity hopping through traffic on Westlake Drive.

5/21/11 6:23 a.m. Friends are keenly worried about a man who keeps making suicidal threats.

5/21/11 7:21 a.m. A woman is upset because another woman violated a restraining order and took a photo of her with a Blackberry.

5/21/11 8:46 a.m. A man in his 30s began acting odd and yelling at people following a road rage incident near the farmers' market.

5/20/11 10:11 p.m. Loud and drunken louts keep coming into and out of an address on Greenridge Court.

5/21/11 12:21 p.m. Fifteen young males were throwing rocks at a woman's window on Brookhurst Drive.

5/21/11 12:23 p.m. Speakers were ripped off a boat on South Shore Boulevard.

5/21/11 2:06 p.m. In an odd case, a purse was found in the garbage on First Street, along with keys, credit cards and ID. It turned out to be that of a daughter who died six years ago.

5/21/11 5:38 p.m. Juvenile delinquents were at a park breaking off tree branches and using them to hit miscellaneous things.

5/22/11 1:31 p.m. Two teenagers, aged 14 and 17, ran away from a youth facility, but they were later found and returned.

5/22/11 2:29 p.m. A woman was stopped before she could commit suicide. She told officers she does not want to live.

5/22/11 8:57 p.m. A 12-year-old girl attempted suicide by drinking lens cleaner.

5/22/11 11:52 p.m. A man is throwing things around inside his apartment on Jefferson Parkway.

FRAUD

5/17/11 5:52 p.m. A customer claims he was defrauded at a tire center, but information may prove that the fraud is being committed by the customer.

5/20/11 10:37 a.m. Mail fraud in the amount of checks totaling $1,500 was being investigated by officers.

5/20/11 10:47 a.m. Somebody has been placing ads for a woman's business without her authorization.

5/21/11 7:44 a.m. A gullible victim sent $3,200 to a 'worldwide asset management' firm that appears to be bogus.

5/22/11 1:07 p.m. While she was out golfing, a woman's credit card was stolen and used several times in transactions totaling $500.
