Chamber adds new members to board; names executive panel

The Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted to add six new board members to seats being vacated by retiring members.
Joining the board for three-year terms are Michelle Baker of Banner Bank, Doug Cushing of Jordan Schrader Ramis, PC, Doug Fish of Fish Marketing, Carol Gaouette of Umpqua Bank, Sandy Marron from Marylhurst University and Chuck O'Leary of Bankers Investment Services.
The board of directors also approved the makeup of the chamber's executive committee. Bill Korach, Lake Oswego Superintendent of Schools will serve as president, along with being board president. Vice President/Treasurer will be Karen Jacobson of Ivey, Jacobson and Co. Serving as vice president also will be Chris Schetky, Windermere, Cronin and Caplan Realty Group, Inc., Suzie Regan, Tucci, Jim Franceus of Summit Financial Advisors and Tina Colson, Providence Foundations. Also included on the executive committee is past president John Hanan, iCON Presentations.
In an effort to create a stronger working relationship with both the Downtown Business District Association and the Lake Grove Business Association, the board voted to create permanent positions on the board of directors for the presidents of those organizations or their designated representative. By working closer together the organizations feel they can better advocate for each other and also provide a larger, more unified voice at city hall.
Leaving the board after years of service are Dan Heine, The Bank of Oswego, Rob LeChevallier, Buckley LeChevallier, P.C., Ramzan Magomedov, Griffon May, J.T. Tenneson, Excel Excavation, Ray Totten, Architects Barrentine Bates Lee, AIA and Carol Winston, Accessories From the Heart.
The new board members begin their terms at the chamber's annual strategic planning session to be held Sept. 27. They officially take over Oct. 1, which is the beginning of the chamber's fiscal year.
