Man injured in home invasion robbery

A Southeast Portland man was injured during a home invasion robbery Sunday afternoon.

Fox 12 interviewed the victim as he was leaving for the hospital after the attack. He said that when he returned home around 1:30 p.m., he discovered a man inside breaking into a locked dresser drawer with a screwdriver. When he confronted the intruder, the man hit him in the head with the screwdriver and fled.

The victim called 9-1-1. He does not know the man, whom he described as a clean shaven white male, about 5-foot-8, wearing wrap-around sunglasses and a flannel shirt.

The house is near Southeast 101st Avenue and Division Street.

Portland police are looking for the suspect.
