Equestrian team does well at state

Entire team returns next year for competition

The Scappoose High equestrian team performed decently at the recent state competition in and #8200;Redmond.

While the six girls on the team didn't win any events, they placed well in a number of them in the large competition.

The Northwest District was third of the eight districts statewide.

Coach and #8200;Donna Esplien said after the competition, 'My thoughts are that we had a good year. The girls were a very enthusiastic and positive group of athletes. and #8200;They all worked hard and showed steady improvement. I look forward to an even stronger year next year.'

All of the girls on the team return next season.
