Eight Lady Indians receive Cowapa League all-league honors

Scappoose senior shortstop Leslie Hancock was named Cowapa League Player of the Year in softball.

Hancock, who has signed a Letter of Intent to Concordia finished the league batting .449. She was .467 on the season. In 102 plate appearances, she never struck out. Her slugging percentage was .994. She had eight home runs and 17 doubles on the season, plus 39 RBIs. She only made three errors and had a .952 fielding percentage.

The entire Scappoose Infield received league honors. On the first team were pitcher Cassie Foltz, second baseman Cassidy Hoglund, and third baseman Cassie Galey. Catcher Rebecca Krupsky was on the second team and BreAnna Johnson received honorable mention. Also on the second team was outfielder Amara Templin. Utility player Ashley Witt received honorable mention.
