McGill commits to Western Oregon

MONMOUTH - Clackamas senior Brian McGill has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Western Oregon University.

The 2011 Three Rivers League MVP and a first-team all-state selection, McGill during the 2010-11 season led the TRL in scoring, averaging 22 points, four assists and three rebounds. He was a 43 percent shooter from 3-point range.

'Brian is a self-motivated guard who we expect big things from through his career,' Western coach Brady Bergeson said the 6-1 McGill. 'He is a competitor and will do what it takes to help his team win…

'He has filled different roles throughout his prep career, including a defensive stopper, a distributor and a go-to scorer. Brian has been well-coached and is ready to compete at the next level. We couldn't be happier to have him on our side.'
