George Fox junior Brian Ranta (Rex Putnam) has been named a first-team all-Northwest Conference pitcher.

Pacific University junior centerfielder Kevin Schwartz (Rex Putnam) garnered honorable mention in the 2011 NWC all-star balloting.

Ranta's record through May 9 was 8-2, with a 2.40 ERA, with 79 hits, 68 strikeouts and only 10 walks in 93-1/3 innings pitched.

Schwartz finished as Pacific's leading hitter, batting .343, with 46 hits - including 12 doubles - and 19 RBI in 134 at bats. Schwartz also played error-free defense, with 87 putouts and five assists.
