We at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Scappoose would like to thank Prudie White and the ladies from Curves for their outstanding effort during the month of April collecting food for the food bank. As the Oregon Food Bank's only food pantry in the Scappoose area we have seen the number of requests for assistance rise by as much as 35-40% in the last couple of years. Although I keep reading how the economy is turning around I do not see a decrease in the number of families coming to our door. Again I want to thank you ladies on behalf of the people seeking assistance at the food bank. Good work!
