Early morning shooting punches holes in a SE Portland house

Portland's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating an early morning shooting Friday that punched five bullet holes in a Southeast Portland home.

No one was injured in the shooting. Police do not have any suspects in the case.

Police were called at about 4:34 a.m. to the neighborhood near Southeast 50th Avenue and Rhone Street, where gunshots had been fired, possibly from a passing vehicle.

Officers were unable to find any victims, but about 15 minutes later, a person called 9-1-1 to report five bullet holes in a house in the 5000 block of Southeast Rhone Street.

Police think the incident might be related to gang activity.
