William Frederic Blakeley died Oct. 22, 2008 of cancer. He was 67.
Mr. Blakeley was born April 6, 1941 to J. Neil and Mary Belle Blakeley in Wauseon, Ohio. When he was a young child, the family moved to Long Beach, Calif., where he finished his schooling.
Mr. Blakeley was a financial adviser by profession.
He married Donna M. Lindlan on May 10, 1974 and they moved to Lake Oswego in 1978. Mrs. Blakeley died April 26, 2007 of cancer.
Survivors include his children, Larry Blakeley, Brandy Blakeley and Wendy Riggs, all of Lake Oswego, his mother Mary Belle Blakeley, and sisters Edith Klein and Tonya Krzystof, all of Orange County, Calif.
A Celebration of Mr. Blakeley's Life was held Nov. 2 p.m. at his home in Lake Oswego.

William 'Bill' M. Stroole died Oct. 25, 2008 of natural causes. He was 98.
Mr. Stroole was born Aug. 14, 1910 in Myrtle Creek, Ore.
He married Bertha Stinson in 1935; she preceded him in death in 1988.
Mr. Stroole served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII.
The couple moved from Eugene to Portland in 1956, and to Lake Oswego in 1980.
Mr. Stroole worked for Philips Oil Co., for 32 years, and was affiliated with the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Carol and Justin DeBoer, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held Nov. 1, 2008 at RiverWest Church.
