Investigators say alcohol was a factor in an early-morning crash Sunday on Springwater Road that sent five men to the hospital.

According to Clackamas Fire District No. 1, a BMW driving on the road failed to negotiate a turn, took out a street sign, rolled and landed in a Christmas tree farm. Three fire engines, one heavy rescue, and a chief responded to extricate and provide medical care for the occupants of the car that landed upside down. One patient was air lifted, and four other were transported via ground ambulance.
