Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

12/3/08 1:12 p.m. A 16-year-old girl was arrested for assault and taken to the Donald E. Long facility.

12/4/08 11:12 p.m. Michael S. Crist, II, 18, was cited and released on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana.

12/6/08 9:42 a.m. Joseph A. DeGregorio, 49, was cited and released on suspicion of driving while suspended.

12/6/08 10:14 p.m. Two 16-year-olds were referred to a juvenile court for possession of alcohol.

12/7/08 9:24 a.m. Rosendo Delasancha Ramirez, 47, was cited and released on suspicion of driving while suspended.

12/7/08 10:32 p.m. Nicole Cooper, 30, was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.

12/5/08 6:15 p.m. Someone entered a home via a doggy door, then stole cash, credit cards, jewelry and a computer on Twin Fir Road.

There were no arrests for DUII this past week.

12/1/08 7:53 a.m. A car hit a rock on Sixth Street but no damage occurred.

12/1/08 8:51 a.m. No one was hurt when two cars collided at Kerr and McNary parkways.

12/3/08 12:34 p.m. No one was injured in a two-car crash on Boones Ferry Road.

12/4/08 9:17 a.m. A car drove into a light pole, knocked it over and damaged a parked car, then drove off on Collins Way.

12/4/08 3:01 p.m. No one was injured in a two-car crash on Boones Ferry Road.

12/4/08 5:19 p.m. Injuries were unknown in a three-car collision on Country Club Road.

12/6/08 10:57 a.m. There were no injuries in a three-car crash on Boones Ferry Road.

12/6/08 3:11 p.m. A woman was hurt when a car hit a fire hydrant on Graef Circle.

12/7/08 4:55 p.m. There were injuries when a car and motorcycle collided on Jefferson Parkway but the injured person refused medical attention.

12/1/08 5:26 a.m. Paintball guns were stolen from a car on Parkview Drive, along with CDs and DVDs.

12/1/08 4:15 p.m. A laptop and briefcase were taken from a car on McVey Avenue.

12/1/08 7:12 a.m. Gas was stolen from a car on Wembley Park Road.

12/2/08 12:48 p.m. An iPod docking station, phone charger and GPS unit were stolen from a car on Meadows Road.

12/2/08 1:27 p.m. A wallet was reported stolen from an undisclosed location.

12/2/08 1:44 p.m. A car was broken into on Meadows Road by someone who stole $5. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500.

12/2/08 7:08 p.m. A purse was stolen from a business on State Street.

12/3/08 9:44 a.m. A purse was stolen from Lake Grove Elementary School. Inside were a cell phone, sunglasses, license and credit cards.

12/3/08 4:35 p.m. An iPod was stolen from Mt. Jefferson Terrace.

12/3/08 4:58 p.m. Bikes were stolen from the children that were riding them in the Wight Lane area.

12/3/08 6:24 p.m. A car was reported stolen from Kruse Way.

12/4/08 2:31 a.m. A window was smashed out of a car on Fir Ridge Road. A black briefcase was stolen.

12/4/08 8:39 a.m. Five packages were stolen after being delivered to a home on Maple Street.

12/1/08 11:30 a.m. A coyote went trotting through the Mary's Woods area, then laid down in the parking lot.

12/1/08 2:30 p.m. Residents along Uplands Drive asked police to look at the residue left behind after an explosion.

12/1/08 3:06 p.m. Neighbors were banging something at a house on Sixth Street.

12/2/08 11:01 a.m. A man absconded with a car belonging to a deceased woman.

12/2/08 11:05 a.m. Two cars were racing on Kruse Way.

12/2/08 12:15 p.m. A large white van brought down an unknown type of wire on Lake Haven Drive.

12/2/08 1:30 p.m. Michael E. Hayes, 39, registered as a sex offender.

12/2/08 1:49 p.m. A garage door went up at a local residence. The driver of a white BMW was suspected of having the garage door opener.

12/2/08 2:31 p.m. Trash cans were overflowing and trash was strewn about the street on Mapleleaf Road.

12/2/08 3:45 p.m. A confused person was standing in a driveway on St. Helens Circle.

12/2/08 3:47 p.m. Leaf blowers began blowing at 8 a.m. at an apartment complex on Mt. Jefferson Terrace.

12/2/08 4:39 p.m. Three wrecked cars were parked on private property on Eighth Street.

12/2/08 7:01 p.m. A woman was accused of violating a restraining order.

12/2/08 7:42 p.m. Police removed two signs duct-taped to city property on Melrose Street and Jefferson Parkway.

12/3/08 9:27 a.m. A person received threats from a blocked cell phone number.

12/3/08 9:59 a.m. A dead possum was picked up on Country Club Road and disposed of.

12/3/08 10:37 a.m. A possible restraining order violation was reported.

12/3/08 10:52 a.m. Two or three small dogs were scampering about on Jean Road.

12/3/08 5:14 p.m. Ronald George Oster, 68, registered as a sex offender.

12/3/08 7:12 p.m. A woman was chased by drunken men with dogs on Foothills Road.

12/3/08 9:27 p.m. A car was pushed from its parking space in Mary's Woods and down a nearby hill.

12/4/08 9:21 a.m. An elderly Asian man was urinating in a yard on Tamaway Drive but no one could ask him to stop because he did not speak English.

12/4/08 10:21 a.m. A large stick was spotted in the middle of Fifth Street.

12/4/08 1:46 p.m. A howling dog turned out to be a leaf blower on Redwood Court.

12/4/08 3:11 p.m. A dog that went missing on Lakeview Boulevard was found uninjured at the bottom of a 10-foot hole.

12/4/08 4:29 p.m. Tires were slashed on eight cars belonging to a family on Second Street.

12/4/08 5:27 p.m. A tree fell on a car on Meadows Road, blocking traffic.

12/5/08 9:01 a.m. A school was getting strange phone calls asking about electronics on Glenmorrie Drive.

12/5/08 10:23 a.m. A biohazard bag was accidentally delivered to the Bank of America on Bryant Road.

12/5/08 12:46 p.m. A large truck parked in an employee parking space at a lot on State Street.

12/5/08 1:08 p.m. A dog was chronically relieving itself in a yard on Cherry Crest Avenue.

12/5/08 3:17 p.m. An old tire was laying along the side of Parrish Street.

12/5/08 3:34 p.m. An elderly dog was tied up and barking on Wembley Park Road.

12/5/08 5:40 p.m. Police settled a dispute at the Speedy Linguine on Jean Road.

12/5/08 9:34 p.m. A man who was possibly on drugs kept going in and out of the Subway on State Street. He told police he was waiting for a ride.

12/5/08 10:24 p.m. Someone ran from a house, then got into a van and peeled out on Edens Edge Drive.

12/5/08 11:29 p.m. Kids were caught taking down the Christmas decorations on Oak Street.

12/6/08 8:56 a.m. Trees were cut down on a property on Maple Street but the culprits turned out to be beavers.

12/6/08 3:26 p.m. A black and white dog growled at a person who walked down Independence Avenue.

12/6/08 9:16 p.m. A woman suspected foul play when an outside light quit shining but police found the bulb had just burned out.

12/6/08 11:50 p.m. A Christmas tree and wreath were mysteriously left at a home on Carman Drive.

12/7/08 2:32 a.m. A woman was found to be trespassing at a local home after ringing the doorbell, knocking on the back door and just generally harassing the man who lived there.

12/7/08 4:02 p.m. A teen pointed a laser device at people on Boones Ferry Road.

12/7/08 6:45 p.m. A man got two calls with no one on the line, then found his garage door was open on Lakeview Boulevard.

12/7/08 9:51 p.m. Kids were suspected of spray-painting a car on Foothills Drive but they had actually just sprayed it with foam, which came right off.

12/2/08 9:56 a.m. A resident was bothered by a suspiciously worded advertisement.

12/3/08 10:40 a.m. Fraudulent use of a credit card was reported.

12/3/08 3:09 p.m. Accounts were being opened using a local person's personal information.

12/3/08 4:30 p.m. Fraudulent checks were cashed against a local account.

12/4/08 12:27 p.m. Fraud was reported involving a bad-check program.

12/5/08 12:48 p.m. A woman claiming to be from UPS was trying to get a signature from a resident who suspected her of being an imposter. The package-tracking number the woman provided was a fake.
