Carlos Holden Lewis
Carlos Holden Lewis died of heart failure May 29, 2011, at her home in Oregon City. She was 91.
Carlos Evellyn Wells was born in Portland, May 30, 1920, the daughter of Lilly Wells and James Wells. She was raised in Portland and Lake Oswego.
She attended West Linn High School and spent a year at Marylhurst College.
She was married to Beryl Holden, who died in the early 1970s.
In 1983 she married Keith Lewis. She was a member of Lake Oswego United Church of Christ and enjoyed golf, knitting, gardening, cooking and entertaining. Mrs. Lewis was office manager at Dr. Holt's dental office in Lake Oswego before retiring in 1989.
They moved from Lake Oswego to Colorado in the 1990s; and while living in Florissant, Colo., Mrs. Lewis volunteered finding homes for shelter dogs. Mr. Lewis died in January 2003.
Upon her return to Oregon in 2003, Mrs. Lewis lived with her daughter in Oregon City until her death.
Survivors include her daughter Monica Honegger of Oregon City, her son Ted Holden of Seattle, Wash., her stepchildren Sandy Reay, Geoffrey Lewis and Kathy Matson, two granddaughters and two stepgrandchildren.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at Lake Oswego United Church of Christ, 1111 S.W. Country Club Road.
Contributions may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
Sharyl Leigh (Holler) Goochey died June 5, 2011 at her Lake Oswego home. She was 65.
Mrs. Goochey was born Nov. 15, 1945, to Leonard and Mavis Holler in Pontiac, Mich. She was raised in California and later moved to Oregon to be with her family.
She worked in customer service at Norpac Foods and enjoyed crafts of all kinds.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Christina Goochey of Illinois, daughters and son-in-law Kristina Goochey, Georgia, and Kimberly and Rob Putnam of Washington; her mother, Mavis Szabo of Arizona, brothers Lenny Holler, Barry Holler and Roger Holler, all of Arizona, Alan Holler, of California, sister Eileen Nugent of California, and five grandchildren.
No service is planned.
