The Portland General Electric/SOLV Starlight Parade, one of the most popular events of the Rose Festival, offers funky, eclectic fun for the whole family. From traditional marching bands, glow-in-the-dark umbrellas and flood-lit floats, the parade includes the best of Portland's diverse community groups. Both the marching bands from Lake Oswego and Lakeridge high schools marched in the parade last Saturday. The LOHS marching band, pictured, took first place among bands with more than 100 marching members and third-place overall among parade entries.
