A 39-year-old Beaverton area man was injured in a bicycle accident around noon Saturday, June 4, in Corbett.
Gary Kitten was reportedly traveling at 30 mph downhill on Haines Road near Larch Mountain Road when he crashed and landed by the side of the road.
Although other bicyclists were traveling nearby, the cause of the accident is still unknown. The road is curvy and has potholes and loose gravel. Kitten is said to be an experienced cyclist.
The Corbett fire department assisted at the scene. Kitten was taken by LifeFlight helicopter from the Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition Friday.
