Portland police arrested a 19-year-old man Saturday night after a woman said he sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

Police said Isaiah L. Whitmore was being held on charges of first-degree rape and coercion.

Police were called at about 9:07 p.m. June 11 to a house on Northeast 49th Avenue, where they found a woman who said a man holding a handgun had assaulted her at another house.

Officers went to the residence and talked the man into coming out. He was taken into custody without incident and charged in the assault.
