College news for June 11
Rebecca Vestal, a senior and a resident of Gresham, was among the nearly 300 students from Thiel College in Greenville, Pa., who were named to the spring 2011 dean's list.
Vestal has been on the dean's list four times. A student at Thiel College must attain a grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled full time to be eligible for the dean's list.
University of Idaho
The following local students were named to the spring semester dean's list at the University of Idaho in Moscow: Beau Frischman of Troutdale, Kyle Fox of Gresham and Allison Furtado of Fairview.
To be named to the list, undergraduate students earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or better on 12 or more graded credits. Law students earned at least a 3.0 GPA on a minimum of 10 graded credits.
The following students at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash., were named to the laureate society for spring semester 2011: Elizabeth Brink of Fairview and Audrey Evans of Troutdale.
The students qualified for the academic honors society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.
