Third Thursdays in Downtown Gresham

WHAT: The Historic Downtown Gresham Business Association's monthly Third Thursday event features extended business hours, live music, wine tasting, artisan booths and special promotions. This Thursday, there will be a beer tasting in the courtyard of the newly opened The Hoppy Brewer, accompanied by acoustic jazz/R and B trio Matt Kirk and Friends.

Gresham Art Committee show

WHAT: The Gresham Art Committee highlights the best work of local and regional artists in its annual juried show, with awards going to the top-ranked work. Rip Caswell of Rip Caswell Bronze Sculptures in Troutdale will serve as juror.

WHEN: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays until July 21.

WHERE: Gresham City Hall, Visual Arts Gallery, 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway.

WHO: Featured artists include Chelsie Brady, Wayne Chin, Lee Dayfield, Matthew Houck, Brian Kroll, Jim Kunz, Beth Norwood, Annette Riplinger, Brandy M. Watson and Tim Zielke.
