Rescuers shouldn't help those without locator
I believe that this mountain locator bill proposed by Rep. John Lim, R-Gresham, is a good idea. But I believe that people should have a choice about whether or not to wear one. To enforce it though, it should be that if they choose not to wear one, rescue services should not have to rescue them because they are taking a risk by not wearing one and making the rescuers risk their lives in order to save them.
I am climbing Mount Hood in April, and I know that I will be wearing a locator because I don't want to die if a sudden blizzard pops up.
