Villages board shuffles officers

Nancy Dougherty made Chairwoman; Reeves becomes Vice-chairman

The Villages at Mt. Hood board of directors elected Nancy Dougherty as board chairwoman during its meeting Tuesday, Feb. 20. Dougherty had been elected vice chairwoman at the Jan. 23 meeting along with other officers, but the chair was left undecided after a split vote between Susan Corwin and Shirley Dueber. Dougherty announced her candidacy at the February meeting, while Dueber withdrew her name from consideration.

The board elected Dougherty in a 6-2 vote and elected Bob Reeves as vice chairman in a 5-3 vote, with one member absent. Corwin received the other votes in both cases.

The next board of directors meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the Hoodland Fire District main station. For more information, visit
