Human Solutions received nearly $58,000 from the International Fusion Event and eighth annual Auction Gala held at the Airport Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, Feb. 24. More than 200 guests attended the colorful event showcasing artists from the local community.

Held in partnership with Gresham Little Theater and the East Metro Arts and Culture Council, live performances included dancing and music from Latin America, Asia, Russia and Africa. The colorful and engaging performances, which entertained guests while they shopped and dined, were held in small theatrical sets representing the continents. Auction items were provided courtesy of local area business and included trips to the Cayman Islands, custom designed jewelry from Gold Art, a signed poster from the 2006 Gresham Jazz festival and a day with Gresham Mayor Shane Bemis and Police Chief Carla Piluso.

The event is one of Human Solutions biggest fund-raisers of the year. The proceeds will go to help low income and homeless families in our community.

Human Solutions is a non-profit organization that has served the low-income and homeless in Multnomah County for nearly two decades.
