Next: The LumberJax (2-9), who have lost nine games in a row, play host to San Jose at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Rose Garden.

Fewest, and most: The Jax score only nine goals per game, worst in the National Lacrosse League, and give up 12.5, worst in the Western Division.

What remains: The Jax have to win all five remaining games and hope for miracles, sitting on the brink of being eliminated from the NLL playoffs. Portland is four games behind Calgary (5-5), Edmonton (4-5) and San Jose (4-5) in the loss column.

The Jax play San Jose twice, Calgary twice and Edmonton once, and need to win them all to have any chance at the Western's fourth playoff spot and any tiebreakers.

Stealth review: Portland lost 17-8 at San Jose on Saturday. Kelly Hall had two goals and two assists for the Jax. Brodie Merrill and Tyler Heavenor each had three points; Scott Stapleford had two goals. The Stealth scored seven consecutive goals in the third quarter.
