Republican state Sen. Bruce Starr and Democratic state Rep. Chuck Riley put aside partisan differences last Tuesday evening to bring constituents up to speed on what's going on in Salem these days.

The two men, both from Hillsboro, were in Forest Grove for a town hall hosted by Starr. They they fielded questions on a range of topics, from education to taxation.

Riley will be at it again next week, when he hosts a town hall Meeting in Cornelius on Thursday, March 29, to hear constituents' concerns and to report on events and issues in the Oregon Legislature.

The meeting will run from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Cornelius City Hall, 1355 N Barlow St.

Riley also will discuss his efforts in cutting government waste , as the Chair of the House Government Accountability and Information Technology Committee.
