Boys golf: Tigard is on its game at The Dalles-Wahtonka tournament

The Tigard High School boys golf team claimed the top spot at The Dalles-Wahtonka Invitational, held Friday at The Dalles Country Club.

The Tigers took the top spot at the 13-school tourney with a team score of 313 strokes. Dalles-Wahtonka was second, three shots back, at 316.

'I think it's the first tournament the team has won in about eight years,' Tigard coach Rich Hanson said.

Sophomore Arthur Kim led the way for the Tigers at the tourney. He placed second individually with a round of 74. Brad Prince, a Tigard junior, was right behind Kim in third place with a score of 75.

Senior Brian Kostol and sophomore Ryan Knolin each carded an 82 for Tigard. Senior Scott Deluca had a round of 84.
