The league-leading LaSalle Falcons slipped past the Rangers in a seventh-inning heartbreaker to win their third conference game 6-5. The Rangers fell to 1-2 with Friday's loss in Milwaukie.

The loss to LaSalle came three days after the Rangers opened the Capital Conference baseball season with a 4-3 win at Stayton-their first win of the season.

Gladstone crushed the Rangers at Estacada High School 12-3 on Wednesday, March 21, to give the Rangers their first league loss. Gladstone, 4-2 for the season, has devoured its opponents, outscoring the opposing team 45-10 in their four wins.

Estacada entered Spring Break with a 1-2 league record. They are 1-8 for the season and currently in fifth place in the Capital Conference, behind LaSalle (3-0), North Marion (2-1), Gladstone (2-1) and Cascade (1-1). Molalla (0-2) and Stayton (0-2) are still looking for their first season wins.

The Rangers are scheduled to play Cascade at the EHS field-recently named after the late Dan Harding- on Monday, April 2 at 4:30 p.m.
