The Sandy baseball team had a breakout performance in Phoenix, Ariz. as it defeated Horace Mann High School of New York on Monday, Mar. 26 by a score of 17-3. The Pioneers were paced by Chris Houle, who belted four hits in five trips to the plate, and Tommy D'Aboy, who went 3 for 3. Jake Fenwick and Joe Mafara struck out seven and gave up only two hits.
