SALEM - Corbett dropped it first game of a spring break baseball tournament 7-1 against host Blanchet on Thursday night.

The Cardinals scored their only run after drawing four walks in the fifth inning. Spencer Child watched a fastball sail outside the zone to bring across pinch-runner Emery Hanes and cut the gap to 3-1. But the Cavaliers put the game out of reach with a four-run spurt in the sixth inning.

Corbett's starting pitcher Kevin Greenslade scattered four hits and struck out six batters.
