In the 9 am hour of Wednesday, March 7th, police and fire officials were called to S.E. 28th, a block south of Woodstock Boulevard, at S.E. Martins Street, where a head-on collision had just occurred.

For an hour many drivers were blocked by the accident, and by the sewer construction closure of Woodstock.

The Portland Police spokesman, Sgt. Brian Schmautz, told THE BEE, '16-year-old Maxwell Moscoe was northbound on S.E. 28th with a little too much speed, and clipped the curb, sending him into the path of 81-year-old Clarence Read who was southbound.

"No one was transported or cited. Moscoe had the Mercedes and Read had the Buick.'
