A two-car collision at the intersection of Highway 26 and Vista Loop Road led to the highway's closure for about 30 minutes on Sunday, April 8.

Sandy Fire Deputy Chief Phil Schneider said although the injury crash was 'pretty significant,' he said he didn't think any of the individuals involved had any 'real severe injuries.'

Schneider said one of the unidentified drivers was trying to pull into the Sandy Vista Apartments driveway from the eastbound lanes when he hit a westbound vehicle. Both drivers were taken to Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.

State police, Sandy police and Sandy firefighters responded to the scene.
