Reynolds moves into contention with win vs. Scots
SOFTBALL - Raiders erupt for four runs in the third inning
Forgive Reynolds if it's been playing with a chip on its shoulder lately.
The Raiders' softball team lost some real heartbreakers during the 2006 season, and the team is anxious to prove that the culture of losing is officially over. The team got a chance to exhibit their newfound confidence against David Douglas on Tuesday, April 10, and they came away with a convincing 5-1 win.
Reynolds took charge with a four-run burst in the third inning, highlighted by a three-run double by Kaley Schlieger.
'Everyone just came to play today,' Raiders' pitcher Kelli Eubanks said. 'We've been working really hard to come back and prove people wrong the past two years.'
Eubanks went the distance at pitcher for the Raiders, allowing five hits and striking out six.
