Bethany House looking to move to Sandy

Bethany House Inc. - a non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter and services to single expectant women ages 16 to 25 - is looking to move to Sandy to expand its services, Outreach Coordinator Carol Van Atta announced this month.

The organization has provided for the physical, medical, spiritual and emotional needs of more than 200 pregnant women and their babies since 1990 - four women at a time. An expanded Sandy facility would allow the shelter to help more people at once.

Bethany House is searching for the just-right location to build its new program. Director Beth Rhinehart believes there is a person or persons who might be willing to donate 2 acres of land for the program's next phase.
