Rivers run through mural

Above: Some of the 29 students in Reynolds High School's studio painting class apply finishing touches to a 10-by-50-foot mural entitled, 'Homage to Nature,' on the wall of the lower commons Thursday, April 26. The original design was created by Sheri Love, local muralist.

The students spent three weeks prior to painting the mural analyzing the landscape, flora and fauna surrounding the Columbia and Sandy rivers from both a geographical and ecological viewpoint.

The class will unveil the mural at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, prior to the Deep Roots CD release and concert.
