Human Solutions benefits from Riegelmann's fundraiser
Six diners enjoyed a seven-course dinner prepared by Oregon's 2010 Chef of the Year, Leif Benson, in the process raising about $1,000 for Human Solutions.
The Friday, June 3, event was held on Riegelmann's showroom floor, and Benson prepared the dinner in one of the test kitchens. Owners Jim and Frieda Riegelmann served as waiters for the evening, bringing guests their meals surrounded by appliances and mattresses.
Human Solutions is a local organization that helps struggling families in Multnomah County.
'It was a ton of fun, as well as the best dinner ever,' attendee Terry Ciecko said. 'We hope they will do this again next year for a larger group.'
