Milwaukie Marine home on leave hurt in hit-and-run
- Clackamas Review - News
A 19-year-old Milwaukie Marine who was on leave after completing basic training was struck and injured Friday night in a hit-and-run accident on Southeast Oatfield Road in Oak Grove.
Thai Huu Lam was taken to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital for treatment of head injuries, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
The collision threw Lam more than 30 feet into an adjacent front yard. The vehicle, an older model white Ford truck, apparently swerved and hit the young man as he walked along the road with his brother.
Sheriff's deputies say the suspect truck drove away from the injured man. The truck would have collision damage to the right front end.
