Year-round farmers market to debut at Cafe Au Play
Volunteer coffee shop gets farmers market
A new year-round farmer's market opens July 9 on the grounds of
Café Au Play, the nonprofit community-oriented coffee shop in Portland's Mount Tabor neighborhood.
Known as the Tabor Market, the farmers market will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 5633 S.E. Division St., across the street from Atkinson Elementary School and down the street from Franklin High School.
It's expected to host more than 30 vendors, on a 2,600-square-foot parking lot and rain garden.
The grounds near Café au Play have been repaved and replanted by volunteer workers.
