Victim said attack was unprovoked

A Milwaukie man leaving the S.E. 82nd Avenue Wal-Mart in Happy Valley late Monday afternoon was accosted in the parking lot and hit on the head by a hammer-wielding man. Harry Anderson, 59, was taken to Providence Milwaukie Hospital and has since been released.

The suspect, Jonathan Edward Jones of Gresham, was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit that ended in the nearby Sears Outlet Store parking lot.
