Upper Larch Mountain road opens
Multnomah County has reopened the upper section of Larch Mountain Road beyond Milepost 10.
Each winter, the county closes public access to recreation areas off upper Larch Mountain Road - the highest road in the county's jurisdiction, reaching an altitude of 4,055 feet - by installing a snow gate. When snow levels drop, the road is reopened to recreational users, allowing access to the view parking lot at Milepost 14.5.
