N. Portland man wounded in early morning shooting
A 34-year-old North Portland man was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday morning.
Portland police said the man's injuries were not life threatening. His name has not been released.
Officers from the North Precinct were called at about 12:10 a.m. when a man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his left calf. The man told police he was on his porch in the 3500 block of North Albina Avenue when someone fired several shots at him. He was hit by one of the bullets.
A police investigation found evidence of gunfire near the house, and several bullet holes in the man's residence.
No suspects have been found in the shooting. Detectives from the Gang Enforcement Team are investigating the incident.
