Lake Oswego High School graduate Ian Millhollen and Riverdale High School graduates Dave Pollock and Joey Harmon - as the band Paper or Plastic - will play an all-ages show at the Grapevine at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

Paper or Plastic will also play a 21-and-over show Aug. 8 at the Tonic Lounge in Portland.

The band is an independent, four-piece piano-based power-pop/rock group.

Its members include: Bassist Millhollen, who graduated from LOHS in June; vocalist and pianist Dave Pollock, a 2006 graduate of Riverdale and a student at New York University; guitarist Ty Whitter, a student at University of Colorado-Boulder; and drummer Joey Harmon, a West Linn native, 2006 Riverdale graduate and a student at Westminster College.

The band describes itself as 'hard-hitting piano rock that could've been written and fronted by Elvis Costello and David Bowie.'

They've opened for The Tubes and Geoff Byrd at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, Bowling for Soup and played the Roseland Theater in Portland and the Vans Warped Tour.

Paper or Plastic's latest (and third) CD release, 'Best of Luck to Cody James!' includes the songs 'West Virginia,' 'Neckties,' 'Gay Bar' and 'For the Money.'

The Grapevine is located at 4949 S.W. Landing Drive, inside the Willamette Athletic Club.
